Join us for our ABA Basics workshop to learn about this cutting-edge behavioral therapy that serves not only those with an Autism diagnosis but human beings as a whole. Fact vs. Fiction: Busting Infant Motor Myths and Serving Up Facts About Your Baby's Gross Motor Development | Wednesday, October 13th @ 6PM

In this gross motor skills workshop, participants will learn how to:

-Reduce frustrations and challenges with tummy time and improve your ability to implement and modify tummy time at home with your child as part of a daily routine
-Expand your knowledge of torticollis (head tilt) and plagiocephaly (head flattening) in infants and learn how to help with prevention and/or management
-Learn about popular baby devices/containers (jumpers/bouncers, Exersaucers, car seats) and understand the role these play in baby’s development in order to make more informed choices

Feeding Your Baby: Liquids and Solids From Birth to One Year | Monday, November 1st @ 6:30PM

Presented by Bianca Roe, OTD, OTR/L, RDN, LDN

Are you an expectant parent or do you have a little one at home under the age of 1? Join us to learn the how and what of feeding babies in their first year of life. We will discuss ways for parents to recognize when an infant is ready to feed, the steps to successful breast and bottle feeding, when to introduce solids, and strategies to promote future adventurous eaters!

Education and discussion facilitated by our Pediatric Dietitian and Feeding Specialist. We invite parents and clinicians to come with questions for a follow up Q&A.

As a result of participating in this virtual workshop, individuals will:

-Learn factors for success with initiating breastfeeding including how to recognize infant feeding cues
-Learn how to achieve an effective latch and optimal body positioning for feeds
-Learn how to choose a bottle/nipple and technique for bottle feeding to support appropriate growth
-Learn how and when to introduce solids and high-allergen foods to support safe skill development and acceptance of a variety of foods.
